Private Residence – Bernville

We were contacted by this family due to the children of the home being grabbed and other visual and auditory claims.  Due to children being involved, we attempted to schedule an investigation quickly.  Two teams were scheduled to investigate separately and during the investigation there was what seemed to be much contact with the use of a flashlight.

Our guest psychic investigator also attended and drew spirit portraits which were later confirmed by the child of the home to be one of the spirits in the house.   Interestingly, our psychic investigator also (without any knowledge of the home, tenants or stories) drew a picture of the child who was witnessing these events.

We only captured a brief audio clip that we shared with the family.  Since the investigation, the family has moved from the home and has not had experiences since then.

Bar/Restaurant – Philadelphia area

We were requested to investigate this property due to many staff and patron experiences.  This location also had a lot of history attached to it, including a rumor to have been a part of the Underground Railroad.  We had multiple video cameras and audio recorders set up in several locations throughout the building.

Despite the many claims attached to this location, investigators had very few personal experiences, limited to random unexplained noises, some that were captured.  After reviewing many hours of recordings, unfortunately, nothing was found at this time.  We are discussing revisiting this location in the future.

Private Residence – Harrisburg

This family contacted us due to many experiences and severe interaction with their teenage daughter.  There were claims of footsteps, noises, audible communication, apparitions, physical contact which left bruising and scratches.  Due to the involvement of the children, this was a priority case and we sent one team out quickly to investigate.

Every team member felt either pressure in the chest, heaviness, temperature changes or feeling of unease at some point in the evening.  Each team member heard the same audible voice that was captured on a recording along with other noises that were unable to be explained.   Other audio recordings were also captured when the house was confirmed to be completely empty as well.

At this time, the family has said that the paranormal experiences seem to have stopped.  We advised them we will be available at any time that we are needed again and will provide clergy or a variety of other services to assist as needed.

Private Residence – Mineral Spring Rd

We were contacted by the homeowners to come out to investigate due to a photograph they captured that could not be explained.  We were unable to recreate the photograph and had two teams investigate separately.  There were claims of footsteps that we attempted to debunk and several hours of video and audio recorded.  A few investigators had feelings of heaviness and ambient temperatures rising.  We did have 1 audio recording that we were unable to explain that we shared with the homeowners.

Private Residence – Hampden Blvd

Upon entering house, both teams felt heaviness and difficulty breathing. Stationary camera was set up in hallway directed on bathroom since there was notice of a shadow coming down the hallway from that area. During review of that camera, nothing appeared but there are some noises that were taped on the voice recorders.

K2 Meter lit up most often in the master bedroom when asking questions. Several noises were heard by both teams in this room, including the sound of things falling, clicking, and the cord for the window blinds was observed to be swinging despite lack of any air flow.

Young child’s room produced a feeling of heaviness/sickness to team members, and the room was chilled. K2 meter lit to highest level, and when team members asked to stop lighting the K2, knocking sounds were heard and it lit up again. EMF meter under bed went from .00 to .06. One team member felt a poke to her rib.

Several team members felt chills and someone touch them on the lower level of the home. When asked for communication, the phone rang (which rang several times during the investigation), and K2 lit when asked if it was a boy making the phone ring. Also had EMF activity and a 2-degree drop in temperature. After leaving and returning to the area, a water bottle that was previously on a chair was found on the floor.

Tavern/Restaurant

Two teams went out on a late night visit to a local tavern at the request of the owners.  There is a lot of history of paranormal experiences in this almost 200 year old location, most of which can be backed up by recorded history.  The teams systematically investigated the location, careful not to contaminate each other’s areas.  While a few interesting recordings were captured, they don’t necessarily match up to the stories.

Two investigators witnessed a light source that was unable to be explained.  Unfortunately, it was not caught on video, however the investigators attempted to recreate the light source from inside and outside the building with lasers to no avail.  Other investigators had other experiences with feelings, sensing presences and brief responses with the K2.

Albright College (return visit)

Three teams did further investigation at Albright College. We were accompanied by a paranormal club from Fleetwood High School. We investigated three different areas. The first was Pushman Cottage which we had visited on the previous investigation. We also spent some time in Teel Hall, and in Merner-Pfeiffer-Klein Memorial Chapel.

Evidence review did not produce anything worthwhile although different individuals did have personal experiences which were not recorded on any devices. Footsteps were heard in two different areas where no one was around to have produced the sounds, and one teacher thought he saw a dark shadow in the corner of one room in Pushman Cottage.

Private residence – Harrisburg

Two teams went in to a private home on a referral from the Pennsylvania Paranormal Association. Owners of the property had made claims of noises, objects moving around and lights turning on and off. A four hour investigation was hampered by multiple dogs. Prior to the investigation we had requested (as always) that animals be removed from the residence prior to investigations. Upon arrival we found most of the dogs had been removed. Upon review of evidence after the hunt, nothing was found. We told the owners we would return, if desired, if the animals were all removed.

Private residence – Berks County

Crews went in on two consecutive weekends at the request of the owners. The daughter of the owner said she couldn’t sleep in her room because of the voices. She moved into a different room and was more comfortable there. Owner stated she had heard her deceased father’s voice whispering in her ear.

We found very high levels of emf throughout the residence. There were definite electrical issues which we advised them to have repaired. Light switches in one room could turn on lights in another room. Probable grounding issues. However, evp’s were recorded that were clearly discernable voices answering questions by investigators. One of these was also captured (via the K2) as a question was answered.

Albright College

Charles Evans Cemetery

Two teams investigated this cemetery, anther source of local haunting legends. As previously noted, outdoor investigations are prone to compromising noises and are generally tough to do. No anomalies were noted by two of the teams. One team reported having a ‘conversation’ with a spirit via the K2. Unfortunately this was not captured on video. The experience was enjoyable. The cemetery is a beautiful site, sprawling over many rolling acres, and contains many unusual grave markers from the past two centuries.

Private residence – Berks County

This one was a bit strange. We were contacted by a local man who said he had been scratched across his back by malevolent spirits. We did a long investigation, audio and video surveillance as is our standard procedure and found nothing. There was ample evidence of spirits, in the form of many empty bottles of liquor Perhaps there were spirits in his system, who knows. The photos of the scratch marks were odd, and placed where he was unlikely to have made them with his own hand.

The property was found to have very high EMF levels everywhere. Lots of unshielded wiring which is known to cause odd feelings (fear cage syndrome)

Centre Avenue Mansion

We investigated a mansion on Centre Avenue in Reading, PA and caught some interesting things in the attic. Check out the video, if you like. (Large file, be patient)

Private residence – Berks County

Owners contacted PaPA to get an appraisal of various noises that had been heard throughout the house. One crew went in with standard equipment and found nothing.

Kutztown apartment building

Residents reported noises and personal items being moved around. Footsteps were also reportedly heard around the perimeter of the building, in an upper story area, where no walkways were found. Could there have been a balcony there at one time? No way to tell.
Investigation was done by three teams. No audio, video or photo evidence was detected. College students were the primary residents. Perhaps pranks were played or drinking and/or drug usage played a part in all that.

Smager’s Theater

This building was home to a social hall, a borough hall and a theater over the span of a hundred years. Multiple stories of glowing eyes, full bodied apparitions and voices in the night have been heard from reputable sources. At least one death occurred there. Our investigation, with the full crew, found no evidence of spirits, apart from some erratic reading on the EMF gages. There were high readings no where close to any electrical wiring. Most of the teams reported heavy feelings or feelings that someone was watching them.

Bube’s Brewery

PaPA took a local ghost tour of this brewery (http://www.bubesbrewery.com) which had been in business in some shape or form since 1876. This dinner/hunt was mostly just for fun, but we were also allowed to roam the property and found that a few of the photos that were taken had some interesting things in them. One photo showed a bright globe near the guide’s head. The globe was seen in a non-reflective spot on curtains and there were no light sources in the area. Another photo showed what looked like a jacket hanging on a wall hook, where there was no possibility of that, plus a man’s face was seen in a mirror. The face resembled Alois Bube, the original owner.

Peter’s Creek

This was a nighttime investigation of a family graveyard dating from the 1700’s. The area has a local reputation for being haunted. External ambient noise (crickets, bugs, birds, etc) made audio contaminated. Photos and video revealed nothing.

Private residence

Owners contacted PaPA after repeated hearing noises in their residence. Property is rented and is estimated to be around 80 years old. It is an old caretaker’s residence for a mental institution which is now a addiction treatment center. Other buildings on the same property exceed 100 year age. One group from PaPA was considered to be enough to cover this smaller house. Video and still photo images revealed nothing. Audio also revealed nothing. House is located near a high traffic area which could have contributed to sounds heard. EMF levels were low throughout the home.

Private residence

PaPA was contacted by the owner of a home that was haunted by the spirit of his wife, who had passed away after a long illness. Owner stated that he had heard voices and tapping on windows when no one else was at home. He also stated that he would like her “crossed over” if that was a possibility. We brought along a psychic to accommodate his wishes. We brought in two teams of investigators and took turns monitoring various rooms in the house. Multiple people felt heavy pressure and vague feelings of unease in the living room area. There were some indications of high EMF readings that seemed to correspond to questioning of the ‘spirits’ but it was sporadic. The psychic confirmed the presence of two spirits and was able to get names from them, which were recognized by the owner. She also had a ‘conversation’ with the owner’s wife, and had about a 50% accuracy rating with that conversation. She then ‘crossed’ the spirit into the light.

Private residence – Leesport

The owners of this stone farm house, built in 1880, contacted PaPA to do an investigation because they had felt the presence of spirits in three different locations in the house. They had brought in a medium who confirmed their suspicions, but they were interested in getting some hard scientific proof.

PaPA  brought in two teams of investigators and set up cameras and recording devices in several rooms in the home. Some photos taken had some slight anomalies – bright shiny spots on non-reflective surfaces and some slight mist. The team also had a ‘conversation’ with a spirit through a K2 meter, but unfortunately that was not captured on video.
