Leesport Private Home – Built in 1880

Photos show a mist-like appearance behind the door. The wall is comprised of stone and a dull plaster coating.

Bube’s Brewery – Mt. Joy, PA

A bright blue/white light appears above the head of the guide. The ceiling is a typical drop ceiling tile, and the item behind her head is a velvet fabric cornice over the draperies (non-reflective). The light may have been a reflection of a dome ceiling light.

Above photo: On the left, the appearance of a man’s long jacket or coat hanging from the wall from the middle of a mirror. This was in the corner of the room with no windows or doorways to create the shadow. On the right, in the mirror’s reflection, there appears to be the figure of a bearded man in a long coat.

Centre Avenue Mansion – Reading, PA

A black mist appears at the top of this doorway, which leads to a small room and the attic where we recorded additional evidence.

Photo above shows a misty area to the left of the door, while the photo below (taken almost immediately after the above photo) is clear.

Gring’s Mill – Reading, PA

On your way to the next stop, be on guard for the ghost of Mrs. Philip Bissinger. Reacting to her husband’s advances toward other women, Mrs. Bissinger took her life and those of her three children by jumping into lock No. 49 E. (stop 6), about 5 p.m. on August 17, 1875. Following the tragedy, the bodies were taken to the Gring’s home to await the coroner’s inquest.

(This photo was taken in the 1990s by a friend of one of PAPA’s members. The person who took this photo went to the spot where the drownings happened on the same month date and time.)
